Bike blogs

There’s some great biking blogs, cycling websites and biker’s forums online. But they’re not only useful for entertainment value: They also fulfill a valuable purpose which could save you thousands of dollars on market research. Bike blogs and cycling websites allow a bike shop owner to see the world through a bike shop customer’s eyes. Cycling blogs give you an opportunity to see what other cyclists see, feel, think, and encounter, when they’re not sheltering inside your bike shop.

Bike On Mums

This not-very-serious mother feels the pressing need to get other women on bikes. She goes to all lengths to achieve this and has even been known to fund bike purchases so she can use an outstanding amount of pressure and guilt tactics, in the nicest possible way, to get these ladies riding their bikes. She is a personal friend, and also like to remain anonymous so I won’t name her here, but I will say that her husband Paul is a mover and shaker in the bike world who seems to  frequently rub shoulders with the Prime Minister to drum up support for their not-for-profit organisation, Bike On (see below).

Bike On

Paul McArdle (as mentioned above) is probably the biggest cycling advocate I have ever met. However he is not some hairy greenie like our friends  from the Cycling Advocacy Group. No, Paul would be classed as ‘a suit’ which might be why Bike On has gained so much traction and support for his not-for-profit projects including Teens on Bikes, Bikes in Schools, Police on Bikes, and Bike on Flaxmere.

I’ll be adding more blogs and websites here as they come to mind.
